Who are you?
My name is Christine Achterberg and I am the Finance Manager for MICROMINE Africa. I love what I do hence the reason for being at MICROMINE Africa just a little bit over 9 years. I don’t just enjoy working with numbers but I enjoy working with people. When I am not at work I love being a mommy to two wonderful little boys, Tyler (5) and Carter (7) and a wife to my husband, Mike. Hobbies, hmm that is a difficult one. I have very good intention to get fit but that one we will start in the new year.
What is your background in mining?
My expertise is in finances, but in the last 9 years as part of the MICROMINE team I have picked up a thing or two along the way about what we do and would be able to have a meaningful conversation with you about it.
Why you believe in our Products?
I believe in our product we offer, as I see the satisfaction in our clients. I am not as amazing as our sales and consulting team, but I am sure I will be able to convince you that MICROMINE’s products are the best in the market.
Why do you Love working at MICROMINE?
MICROMINE has a lot to offer not just for the clients but also for their staff. MICROMINE believes in family and everybody is important. MICROMINE doesn’t just look after their clients but also value their staff members too, hence the reason for some staff members becoming part of the furniture.
How does your role at MICROMINE Africa add value?
My colleagues would agree that I am the most important person at MICROMINE Africa, as I pay the salaries. Jokes aside, I know every person in the organization plays an important role and everybody is valued for what they do for the company. We are a team and operate as a puzzle that works and fits together perfectly.
